Sawdust Fired Earthenware
Heather Delisle makes her handmade ceramic spheres in her Hillsborough, North Carolina studio. The spheres are wheel-thrown and kiln fired before receiving the final surface treatment in a sawdust firing which gives each piece a unique carbon imprint from the organic material burned on its surface. Each sphere has a single hole on the back so it can be hung on wall with a finishing nail hammered into the wall at a 45 degree angle or they can also just be displayed on a shelf or table. These spheres are for indoor use only.
Sphere’s vary slightly in size.
